What's that small blob above the treeline?

From Jenny Faa at 2008-04-18 13:57:36 : Could it be a heron?
From Slow-on-the-draw at 2008-04-18 16:02:18 : I think it might be a Harrier Jump Jet
From The Traveller at 2008-04-19 10:43:54 : Good early catch if it is (Harrier). Exercise Joint Warrior 2008, NW 081 will run from April 19 to May 2 around Scotland, with the area of the Clyde always busy.
From Norrie. at 2008-04-20 17:31:43 : I haven't the foggiest what it is, but it probably is a Heron. No sound from it , so it wasn't a plane, nor was it Superman, so it must have been a Bird.
From Slow-on-the-draw at 2008-04-20 17:50:51 : So what makes you so sure it wasn't Superman?
From Norrie at 2008-04-21 18:51:02 : Have you ever seen Suprman go as slow as that?
From Slow-on-the-draw at 2008-04-21 18:58:08 : That's not slow! What's your evidence to support the assertion that he's flying slow!!! It's the angle that might make it look slow. Anyway, Superman can fly slow when he wants to.
From Norrie at 2008-04-22 14:50:22 : I know that it is flying slow, as my camera was set to record the Arran hills, and so it was not a fast exposure, and if this item was flying fast it would have appeared as a blur, so there!
Then again, perhaps my camera was not as Slow-on-the-draw as I thought it was
From Slow-on-the-draw at 2008-04-22 15:02:58 : Hmmm... maybe not. If it was flying towards you or away from you there would be little if any visible horizontal motion. (He can also hover, BTW.)
From Norrie at 2008-04-23 12:20:25 : Lets face it Slow. you are in the same boat as me, as you also have no idea what it is. Lets just say it is a UFO, and let the thing rest, or going by it's shape maybe Roost would be the correct word.
